A group for children aged 4-12 to experience and learn more about the Christian faith using age appropriate games, Bible stories, songs and crafts, while their parents are in the church service.
St Boniface 10am – 3rd Sunday of each month
Starting with breakfast at 10 consisting of coffee, croissants, muffins, fruit and all good things like that, followed by a short engaging service and then time for crafts and games – Messy Church offers something for everyone. Loads of space and time to explore together and for all ages to have fun too.
St Boniface 4.00pm
Little Stars Sunday is a fun, safe environment for pre-school aged children. to play and learn about God through singing, story and craft, while parents/carers attend the church@four service. A snack and drink are offered during the session and parents are able to stay too if they want.
Ground Breakers is age appropriate access to church for primary aged children. We worship in creative and interactive ways, and explore what faith means to us in our everyday lives. We take time to gather in discipleship groups, and discover the Bible in new and different ways.
St Martin in the Wood
Little Stars Toddler Group meets every Tuesday morning during term time at St Martin in the Wood Church, Queens Road, Chandler’s Ford. We run 2 identical sessions each week, 9.15-10.25 and 10.35-11.45. You can choose which session suits you best week by week. Each week the sessions have a story theme with craft, sensory play, snacks and singing. We have plenty of tea, coffee and cake for the grown-ups too! Sessions are £1.50 per family.
Xplode is our afterschool club for children aged Reception to Year 6. It is on every Tuesday during term time from 4-5:15pm with early arrival from 3:45pm at St Martin in the Wood church. We have lots of club activities from active team games, to board games and craft. We also have a short thought about God and life as well. The cost is £1.50 per family, including drinks and refreshments.
Wiggle Worship meets every Wednesday at 10.30am at St Boniface. It’s a service especially designed for under 5’s and their parents/carers. There are lots of activities, stories, crafts, singing & prayers. Afterwards there is a time for drinks, biscuits and free play for the children in the hall and teas for the adults.
Primary school assemblies
A small team go into some of the local primary schools to take a Christian assembly, based on stories from the Bible presented in a creative way with quizzes, dramas, songs and a short talk.
The Children’s Ministry is headed up by Becca Wicks (our Children’s & Families Minister) and Debbie Pearce (our Children’s & School Minister) alongside a huge team of gifted, talented and dedicated volunteers.
